Were here to help!
Our staff can help you throughout your licence acquisition from applying for your provisional licence, arranging your theory tests, practical driving test and also your initial driver CPC tests should you require them.
To gain a LGV licence you will need to follow the below steps:
- Be over 18 years of age and hold a full category B licence.
- You will need to undergo an LGV medical with a doctor who will complete a D4 form (available from us or Post Offices), there are details of a doctor in our information pack that charges £40.00 for this medical.
- Complete the Provisional Licence application forms (D2) and send this to the DVLA along with your medical report and both parts of your driving licence.
- Upon receipt of your new licence with the appropriate provisional category added, please contact the office to arrange a Theory training day and Theory tests (the training day is optional).
- Once you have passed your theory tests, you can book and undertake a training on the appropriate vehicle with the practical examination of the final day of your course.
- A one hour assessment can be arranged to determine the length of course if you are uncertain as to your requirements.
