Apex Training Services can offer competitive training package to suit your needs using our vehicle or your own, subject to the above criteria.

* From 10th September 2008 newly qualified D and D1 licence holders will also require the Drivers CPC in order to use their licence commercially.

To gain a PCV Category D1 licence you will need to follow the below steps:

• Arrange a medical examination with your doctor who will complete the form D4. For reduced costs, speak to us before arranging your medical examination appointment.
• Complete the provisional application forms (D2) and send to DVLA and await for your new provisional licence.
• Upon arrival of your new licence, contact the office and arrange a one hour driving assessment (optional).
• Purchase a Theory Book and study it well.
• Take and Pass the theory test.
• Train in a Category D1 Vehicle with a maximum of 16 seats and pass the practical examination.
• Send off your pass certificate and licence and await for you full Category D1 licence to be returned.
