At Apex, we deliver FLT and FLT instructor courses across Wisbech, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk, ensuring all your mechanical handling needs are met. Our flexible training solutions can be tailored to the unique needs of your business and can be carried out at our centre in Peterborough or at a suitable site of your choice. FORKLIFT INSTRUCTOR COURSE
COURSE OVERVIEW
The initial training is for experienced operators who wish to provide operator training for their employer or on a commercial basis. The examination for the course consists of the following three elements:
TEST OF BASIC OPERATING SKILLS
Practical test to instructor standard – maximum 25 penalties. This is usually carried out on the first day by the course tutor.
EXAMINATION OF PRACTICAL INSTRUCTIONAL ABILITY
Delegates must score a minimum of 70 from a maximum of 100 to pass this element. This exam is carried out on the final day of the course by an independent external examiner.
EXAMINATION OF INSTRUCTOR ASSOCIATED KNOWLEDGE
A minimum of 80% must be achieved to pass this element. The examination is usually carried out on the final day of the course and is conducted by an independent external examiner.

FORKLIFT DRIVER COURSE
TRUCK TYPES
At Apex Centre - Counterbalance, Reach, Pedestrian Pallet, Hi-Ab, Pivot-Steer and Scissor Lift. On-Site - all of the above plus Rough Terrain, VNA, Low Level Order Picker, High Level Order Picker, Telescopic, MEWP Scissor Lift and Cherry Picker.

​Novice, Experienced Operator and Full Course. Please note, 3 delegates can be trained per day on site.

COURSE CONTENT
This one day course refreshes the operator's safe practice in using the chosen FLT. It is essential for keeping employees safe and up to date with the latest legislation and techniques. The course will cover all of the essentials of operating the truck and general best practices. The course follows the HSE Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L117.
