Shunter training is essential for anyone tasked with moving large vehicles such as HGVs, trailers, and articulated lorries around a depot, yard, or loading area. The role may not involve public roads, but it comes with significant risks. Poor shunting can lead to damage, costly delays, or serious injury. Our training provides the skills needed to safely position, manoeuvre, and reverse vehicles within a confined space, while working closely with other site operatives.
This course is ideal for professional drivers, yard staff, and anyone responsible for vehicle movement on private or commercial premises. It’s suitable for both new starters and experienced staff who require formal training or a safety refresher. All training can be adapted to reflect your workplace setup, procedures, and vehicle types.
SHUNTER TRAINING
You are responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle. This course provides an understanding of the dangers and how to operate in the safest manner with the safety of others in mind.
